Appeal an application decision

If your rental application was declined and you believe the decision used information that is wrong or incomplete, you can ask RL Property Management to review it. A person reviews every appeal.

What to send

Email info@rlpmg.com with your name, the address you applied for, and the date you applied. Attach whatever corrects the record: an updated pay stub, a letter from a landlord, a corrected credit report, documentation of a resolved balance.

What happens next

A member of the leasing team reviews the file against the same criteria every applicant is measured by. We are looking at whether the underlying facts changed, not making an exception.

[SOURCE NEEDED: the review turnaround time and whether a formal appeal form exists.]

If a consumer report was involved

When a decision is based even in part on a credit or background report, federal law entitles you to an adverse action notice identifying the agency that supplied it. That agency did not make the decision, but you can request a free copy of your report from them within 60 days and dispute anything inaccurate. A corrected report is exactly the kind of thing that changes an outcome.

What we apply to every applicant

The same written criteria, in the order applications are completed, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, familial status, disability, or any other class protected under federal, Ohio or local law. Our full criteria are published on the application criteria page.
